I regularly use the internet for driving directions. Yahoo, Mapquest, etc.... All of these sites are very helpfull. BUT, I have come to realize that the directions they give almost ALWAYS will send you out of your way by a few miles. The last map I searched for was from Burbank Ca to Van Nuys. This is NOT a long distance, maybe 6 miles straight down ONE road.(I realized this later) But the internet map I received sent me an additional 7 MILES out of the way, involving 2 freeways, and 7 turns. So I have come to realize that OPEC(Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries) is involved with "misinformation" regarding travel directions. This is done by them in order to make everyone drive as many miles out of their way as possible, causing more gasoline to purchased by EVERY driver on the road.
