What is it with people today.

I drive home from work, and I see these men:
Men who are stressed out from the *"hustle and bustle" of their hated day jobs . It is Fall, and these "men" are outside, moments after arriving home from work, raking and burning leaves.

Now we must remember what leaves are. Leaves are things that are "of the earth". They grow from it, they fall to it, they become it, the cycle begins again.... They blow around, degrade, DISAPPEAR... Raking and burning is a strenuous, unnecessary activity.

I have NEVER raked my yard.
Compare my yard with his, and you will notice something:

My yard has NO leaves.
His yard has NO leaves.

But what he does have that I do not, is a big burnt out section of lawn, a bloody throat caused by the smoke inhalation, a bad back from raking, and a "bad mood" caused by
*"having to work ALL day, and coming home to a yard full of leaves I gotta rake up". It is a waste of time. Go spend that time with your kids, or *"the Old Lady".

These are the kind of people I think of when I hear the Bruce Springsteen song "Glory Days". They can sit back and listen to that song with a "Heine" and think of *"that girl" and "gettin laid!", "hangin with the boyz" and "being free".*

Those that *"totally get" that song, are the ones who have let go. The ones whose view of life, is "find the girl", "get the job", " have the kids"*, and BITCH about "having" to do it.

These are also the same people that on the way home from work, cut you off in traffic, never let you merge, blast their horn at you for making normal driving actions etc... They won't let you merge, cuz they "gotta get home" so they can do their miserable chores that they create for themselves.

I think how it starts is this:
These people are either miserable at home or work first. Whichever is the source of the misery, they must make the other place MORE miserable, as a way to make the original source of said misery seem better. What happens then is that the pattern keeps bouncing back and forth, until both places are so fucking miserable that they snap, leaving us with the horror stories that make up the nightly news.

Every day, I wake up and feel that that day is a great day: a day of discovery, of smiling, of crying, of learning. I don't know what my future is. I still have yet to figured out "what I wanna be". It changes every day, every minute.

Another thing about humans is the "Strive to be Upper Management".
If you've had a job, especially in an office, you have experienced it. Some loser asshole, gets a promotion, to be one level above you, and suddenly becomes Super-asshole. Cranky, bitchy, whiny, BOSSY. What most of us do not notice is that it is NOT just in the office that these people exist. It is not just an OFFICE thing.

Lets take rock stars for instance:
We often hear of rock stars that are assholes, impossible to work with, etc...

Now mind you, I feel that if you sell 6 million records, you DO deserve the
right to be a bit uppity, but to a point. What does someone in this position
have to be upset about, as far as music is concerned?
He is "Upper Management Potential". One gets to live the life of an idolized rock star, but yet still can't control that desire to be a BOSS. He has to make "doing music" as miserable as being a Data Entry "tech".
Don't they call Springsteen "The BOSS"?
