I am at work. I have been there for around 3 weeks. The girl who works next to me talks to me all the time. On the night before this Thursday, I purchased some Red Vine licorice to snack on while at work. So while enjoying a licorice snack, I decide it would be nice to offer my work neighbor a piece. I do, and all seems well.
Friday comes, and SHE is not at work. I think nothing of it. Monday comes, and I realize that she is not speaking to, or even making eye contact with me. I also notice that other coworkers have been joking at me with one liners like " hey man, got any licorice?"
I inquire as to what these jokes are regarding, and I discover that this fucking woman who I so generously shared my licorice, has told everyone that the licorice I shared was "laced". Laced as in LSD, acid, etc... Let me just say.. WHAT THE FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!?
She told all my coworkers that she was tripping off the licorice I gave her, and that it is the reason she was absent the day following it's consumption. So this psychotic fucking idiot is such a goddamn nutjob, that she honestly believes that I drugged her with my licorice.
I figure this will most likely lead to ME getting fired, since SHE has been there 9 years, where as I mentioned earlier, I have only been there a short time.

I would love to receive some advice form my readers regarding the steps I should take to handle this situation.
